Most, if not all of us, hold conscious beliefs about the way the world works, the purpose of our relationships, and the roles we are to play in the various aspects of our lives. Given that we also have an unconscious, we have little to no awareness of the beliefs held in its realm. These unconscious beliefs may have constellated long ago in response to the circumstances surrounding their origin. Without access to conscious learning, their outdated information surreptitiously guides our waking behavior.
The relationship between our conscious and unconscious states directly impacts our health and wellbeing. When they communicate freely—such as when we take our dreams and intuitions seriously, for example—we can heal, grow, and thrive. When we hold beliefs about being unlovable, unsafe, or unworthy in the unconscious, not only may we suffer the consequences, but our healing will be thwarted as well. Fortunately, our beliefs were designed to change, to accommodate new circumstances, new attitudes, new possibilities. Becoming conscious of them offers us the opportunity to transform them, thereby also positively impacting our physical and emotional health.
This series will draw upon the wisdom, guidance, and protocols of energy medicine to support the alignment of our beliefs with the intentions of our heart and soul. We will engage this work through the lens of Kabbalah’s five levels of soul, the heart chakra, layers of the aura, radiant circuits, the five elements and their meridians. Personal reflections and class discussion will also support our efforts. No prior experience with any of these modalities is required to participate. A list of references and relevant handouts will be provided for this eight-week series during the first class and as needed thereafter.
